To get to the hives, Jeff Lukey loads his truck onto a boat. D’Urville Island sits in the Marlborough Sounds at the top of New Zealand’s South Island, connected to the mainland by water only. Sixty people live there. No roads in, no roads out — just 150km² of coastline with wild Manuka growing across it, undisturbed.

Jeff has been keeping bees for over 40 years. These are hives he tends personally, and this honey is what he’d normally hold back for his own kitchen — raw, single batch, from one island, nothing added and nothing blended.

At MGO 152+, it’s independently tested and sits comfortably in the range for everyday Manuka — a genuine daily honey from a place most people will never visit. The remoteness isn’t a marketing angle. No roads simply means no pesticides, no traffic, no pressure on the land. Just bees doing what bees do on an island nobody has touched.

Available in 270g and 500g.

The Ritual

  • Daily: A teaspoon in the morning, the same way you’d use any good Manuka.
  • On skin: A small amount on dry patches, left overnight.
  • As a gift: A single batch honey from a place with a story worth telling.
